President’s Voice – August 2024
I pray you and your family have recovered from the impacts of Hurricane Beryl. Although classified as a category 1, as it slammed into Texas nearly everyone in its path lost power and had to endure the effects of the massive wind damage it left
behind.
It’s been an historic few weeks, starting with the assassination attempt on President Trump in Bulter, Pennsylvania on July 13th. Trump was struck in the ear and went to the ground, then as he rose to his feet pumped his fist as he yelled “Fight! Fight! Fight!” to his supporters.
At the national convention in Milwaukee, the GOP nominated President Donald J. Trump for the third time and the selection of Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio as his Vice-Presidential running mate.
President Joe Biden was forced out of the race and Vice President Kamala Harris was swept in as his presumptive replacement.
Houston Congresswoman Shiela Jackson Lee passed away. The race has begun to see who will run to fill the 18th Congressional ballot position in November.
As summer closes out, we need to begin our November FIGHT not only win back the White House, but also our Texas state house and Harris County! Here is a great link from the HCRP Candidates page with the 2024 Republican Candidates. There are many events, Republican GOP office openings, GOTV rallies, etc., coming soon. Talk to your family, friends and colleagues and get them geared up to join the FIGHT.
