President’s Voice – March 2025
Hello BARW!
I watched President Trump’s address to the joint sessions of Congress this week. Texas had 12 democratic representatives that could not find it in themselves to clap for D.J. Daniel (a local Pearland resident) who beat cancer, or Jason Hartley, a young cadet heading to West Point, or empathy for a Houston mother who lost her child, 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, who Trump renamed a 34,000-acre wildlife sanctuary in Galveston Bay after. These were moments worthy of applause.
Then there was a Texas Democrat’s outburst that subsequently led to his removal from the chamber.
This practice of childish behavior is offensive. Their grim faces said it all. I asked myself, who orchestrated this? I don’t’ know. What I could think of is what type of example does this show to their families, their constituents, our country and the world? These people must go!
Who is going to step up and Fight, Fight, Fight against this type of mindset?
In our own House of Representatives, the new Delivery of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”) Committee, which was created by House Speaker Dustin Burrows, held its first hearing this week. They are committed to rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse. If you would like to submit tips for the Committee to investigate, you can e-mail them at – DOGE@house.texas.gov.
Our March meeting, we will welcome State Board of Education, District 7, Julie Pickren. Julie is dedicated to fostering an educational environment that equips our children for the challenges of the future, ensuring they inherit a legacy of strength, unity, and pride in our Texas values. We have school board elections in May. I hope our CCISD candidates will join us as well on March 25th.
Please RSVP to barw.rsvp@gmail.com by Thursday, March 20.
Let’s Keep Texas RED!
