School Board Elections are the very next election we need to be concerned about. There is only one contested race and that is At-Large Position B. Although this is a technically nonpartisan race there is a conservative candidate running for this position. His name is Scott Bowen. While I probably would have voted for Scott based on the aforementioned, I have attended two candidate forums held for this race and I can unequivocally say that Scott is the best person for the job. He comes to the position with the mind of an engineer and passion for good governance. It was impressive to see him more than hold his own against someone who has held the position for 12 years. 12 years ago, Scott was a student in CCISD and says the excellence of this school district is what brought his parents to the Clear Lake area 25 years ago and he wants to help maintain that standard of excellence as a Trustee. This is a low turnout election and your vote will make a difference. Please vote and bring a friend!
