What fun it was watching all of our visitors during the World Cup! Their love for all things American was so inspiring! It certainly gives you an appreciation for all that we have here in the USA! We truly live in the greatest country in the world. We need to make sure we keep it that way.

The summer has flown by, and now it is time to get to work. I know the votes are here in our area, but too few people are showing up at the polls. We need to find a way to change that. It is up to us to keep Texas a strong Republican state and, just as importantly, to turn Harris County red. In the coming months, we will have opportunities to meet candidates, sign up for block walks, place signs in our yards, and show up in force at events. But our most important job is getting as many people as possible to the polls. Democrats are working hard to ensure a strong turnout, and we must do the same. If you have ideas or have seen something that might work, please share it with us. Many of you have contacts with other clubs or friends in other areas who may be doing something effective, and we want to know about it. We especially need to focus on younger voters by getting them excited about the Republican Party and motivated to vote.
