Hello BARW Community!

At the BARW luncheon scheduled for Tuesday, September 23rd, we will be joined by Michael Quinn Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan serves as the publisher of the Texas Scorecard, a news outlet that delivers journalism,
commentary, and investigative reporting from a conservative perspective. The Texas Scorecard employs
original research, public records, and contributions from staff writers who align with its editorial values. The
publication regularly cites remarks from Texas government officials, Republican lawmakers, and think tanks.
Many articles are based on official documents and direct quotations, with coverage often reflecting topics
consistent with the publication’s stated viewpoint.

The BARW Golden Age committee has been obtaining sponsors for our upcoming BARW Golden Age Celebration on October 4th. CD 36 Congressman Brian Babin and Alexandria Mealer, candidate for Congressional District 09, have been added as sponsors. Additionally, Precinct 8 Justices of the Peace Places 1 & 2 – Holly Williamson and Louie Ditta are new sponsors.

This event allows BARW to inform members and the community about Republican candidates so you can better evaluate your voting choices. After the March 2026 primary, we will come together to support the Republican nominee November campaigns.

Submit Club Credentials for Delegates and Alternates soon for the Texas Federation of Republican Women 35th Biennial Convention, October 23–25 in San Antonio. If you plan to attend, email your intent to barwpresident2025@gmail.com as soon as possible. BARW will reimburse your registration fee if you attend.

2026 BARW BOARD MEMBER NOMINATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED:

BARW seeks to inform voters through political education and promote women’s participation in government. The organization facilitates cooperation among Republican women in Texas, supports party values, and assists with the election of Republican nominees. The upcoming year includes significant events such as the March Primaries, and the November 2026 General election and our annual fundraiser.

We are accepting nominations for the 2026 BARW Board. To nominate yourself or another member, please contact me at barwpresident2025@gmail.com. Nominees will be announced at the September BARW luncheon.
